About Me

California native and artist living in Northern Virginia.

I grew up in Southern California, spent my youth on the beach, hung out with surfers. I majored in art in college, attended Art Center which was then in Los Angeles, a special life drawing program for young college students. I also attended El Camino College, Cal State Long Beach, and UCLA. I spent years working in the business world – some commercial art, some financial stuff. Life drawing remains my first love, but I also paint in oils, acrylics and watercolor. I enjoy sketch-journaling and try to make this a daily part of my life. It's strong appeal for me is how it connects me with the world around me as well as recording it.
